Sardar Patel and RSS

Also Read Murder of Mahatma Gandhi: Truth

There is an ongoing debate in the country on who took initiative to Ban RSS after tragic murder of RSS.  Following is screen capture of one of most authoritative books (The Hindu nationalist movement and Indian politics: 1925 to the 1990s ...By Christophe Jaffrelot) which throws some light on this issue. More important is the reference list used by the author.

If only Jaswant had spend even half the time he spend studying Jinnah to study his parent organisation of 30 years!!! Moreover, If you want to blame Patel for banning RSS then you should also credit him for unbanning RSS after all both these incidents occurred under his watch as home minister. In fact, After Gandhi’s murder, it would have been more difficulty to unban RSS than ban it. If Patel really wanted he could have finished of Nascent RSS.

Sardar Patel supported Hindu activist against Gandhi’s candidate for presidency of congress

Its not first time a book is banned in India!

The seculars are raising a huge stink on Gujarat banning Jawant Singhs controversial book Jinnah — India, Partition, Independence. They see it as another instance of stifling independent views in Gujarat

However , what they forget is in 2006, The Da Vinci Code, which was not even banned in in Christian majority was either banned or suspended in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Punjab. None of them were ruled by BJP

Similarly congress government also banned James Laine's Shivaji: Hindu King in Muslim India fopr remarks that were deemed derogatory to the Maratha hero.

Also, Books which showed congress leaders and Nehru Family in bad light were also banned at different point of times.  The list includes Who Killed Gandhi by Lourenco De Sadvandor Banned: Dec 29, 1979  with the most famous ones being Nine Hours to Rama Banned: Sept 1, 1962, a fictionalised account of Mahatma Gandhi's assassination by Stanley Wolpert & Nehru, A Political Biography by Michael Edwards. Banned: Dec 13, 1975

Gujarat Ban of Jinnah: India-Partition Independence is an overreaction

Gujarat government had on Wednesday night banned Singh's controversial book on Jinnah alleging it is an attempt to defame the image of the country's first Home Minister Vallabhbhai Patel by "questioning his patriotic spirit".

I fully agree with BJP’s decision to expel Jaswant Singh, he had crossed the laxman rekha. But banning the book is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I agree with what Jaswant Singh said

"The day we start banning books, we ban thinking.

We Are All Hindus Now – Lets say OM

As per a recent surveys, conceptually Americans are slowly becoming more like Hindus and less like traditional Christians in the ways they think about God, themselves, each other, and eternity.

On the question of GOD

The Rig Veda says: "Truth is One, but the sages speak of it by many names." A Hindu believes there are many paths to God. Jesus is one way, the Qur'an is another,  None is better than any other; all are equal. While conservative Christians have not been taught to think like this. They learn in Sunday school that their religion is true, and others are false. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me."

Americans are no longer buying it. According to a 2008 Pew Forum survey, 65 percent of Americans believe that "many religions can lead to eternal life"—including 37 percent of white evangelicals, the group most likely to believe that salvation is theirs alone. Also, the number of people who seek spiritual truth outside church is growing.

On the question of Resurrection.

Christians traditionally believe that bodies and souls are sacred, that together they comprise the "self," and that at the end of time they will be reunited in the Resurrection. You need both, in other words, and you need them forever.

Hindus believe no such thing. At death, the body burns on a pyre, while the spirit—where identity resides—escapes. In reincarnation, central to Hinduism, selves come back to earth again and again in different bodies.

So here is another way in which Americans are becoming more Hindu: 24 percent of Americans say they believe in reincarnation, according to a 2008 Harris poll. More than a third of Americans now choose cremation, according to the Cremation Association of North America, up from 6 percent in 1975.

Was this really necessary!

REBEL WITH A CAUSE?

Former Indian foreign minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jaswant Singh, right, and Pakistan’s high commissioner to India, Shahid Malik, left, pose at the release of Singh’s book

Hindu Chini Bhai Bhai

The Beijing correspondent of The Hindu - Ananth Krishnan in his article Does Beijing Really Want To break Up India? has questioned the credibility of the article titled 'China Should Break Up The Indian Union', written by D.S.Rajan, of the Chennai Centre For China Studies. A detailed retort to Ananth Krishnan’s article was published by B. Raman in his article Not Lost In Translation. Interestingly, Ananth Krishnan has taken issue with Ramans retort and has said its libellous & irresponsible. You can read Ananth Krishnan’s justifications here

For the unaware, D.S.Rajan was part of team trained and developed by Government of India after 1962 chinese debacle and has spend more than 35 years monitoring writings in the Chinese language media. While, Ananth Krishnan belongs to Kasturi Ranga Iyengar family who owns “The Hindu” (just like N. Ram, his predecessor N. Ravi etc) and is the first member of the youngest generation of the family to join the business. Ananth Krishnan took over as Beijing correspondent of The Hindu after Pallavi Aiyar moved on as Brussels correspondent of Business Standard.

One should not be surprised by this coming from The Hindu whom World Press Review (Worldpress.org) lists  as a left-leaning independent newspaper. This political polarization towards left ideology is supposed to have taken place since N. Ram took over as editor-in-chief after N. Ravi and Malini Parthasarathy were removed as editor and executive editor of the paper in an overnight bloodless coup in 2003.

N Ram is a well known CPI(M) and Marxist sympathizer. He had served as the vice president of the Students Federation of India (SFI), the student wing of CPI(M). Ram's first wife Susan was an Irish woman who was for many years in charge of Oxford University press publications in India. After separating from Susan, he is now married to Mariam (Mariam Chandy), a Kerala Syrian Christian.

This is not first time when The Hindu has went against popular sentiment (& intelligence) to project and protect Leftist Ideology and China by extension. Even Hindus Readers' Editor K. Narayanan found fault with the Hindu’s coverage of Nandigram and Tibet. In a stinging analysis he reported

I compared the reporting of the events in other Indian newspapers (English) and also The Guardian and the New York Times with that in The Hindu from March 15 to 19 and could not but note the wide gap which led to the readers’ protests. (The angles given to the stories and their display are not to be questioned; that is editorial privilege). Overall, these points struck me as noteworthy:

1. Reliance on Xinhua, the official Chinese news agency. Its reports should have been balanced by inputs from other news agencies, but their use was scanty and selective. No doubt they too would have had their angles and biases but that would have been another side of the picture. Why was The Guardian, otherwise used extensively, ignored (except for an eyewitness account which was not very informative)?

2. The Hindu’s perceptive correspondent in Beijing, Pallavi Aiyar, made no contribution, except to report Prime Minister Wen’s press conference.

3. The statements of the Chinese Prime Minister and the Chinese envoy in Delhi were fully reported. The Dalai Lama’s were truncated versions. Many readers noted that his remark on “cultural genocide” was edited out.

4. The most surprising feature was the total absence of Tibet in the “Letters to the Editor column” — in which otherwise comments appear even as events are unfolding and continue for days. A few letters appeared after an article and an editorial were published and ceased abruptly.

The Hindu uses Xinhua news agency owned by the Government of China, and a mouthpiece of the Chinese government to fetch China related stories. Also, according to Friends of Tibet, N Ram is also the mastermind behind 'India-China Association of Journalists', an embassy-sponsored organisation specializing in arranging pleasure trips for Indian journalists. After one of his trips to Tibet, The cover story in  Frontline, written by N.  Ram, provided an extended and lavishly illustrated brief for the Chinese occupation of Tibet.  The Chinese, claims Ram, have brought hospitals, roads and schools to a previously deprived land.  He minimizes the attacks on Tibetan cultural institutions and religious beliefs that the Chinese have so demonstrably carried out. , he wrote with baited breath

Unprecedented economic growth, rises in living standards, education, infrastructure development, job creation, central government subsidies, and political policies implementing the autonomy mandated in the Chinese Constitution are transforming life, work, and mindsets, especially of the young, in sparsely populated Tibet. And the railway is making a big difference.

It is sad that “The Mahavishnu of Mount Road” has now become  “People’s Daily of China” or “Beijing’s Mouthpiece” depending upon you follow B. Raman or  Nitin Pai.

Chronic Attention Seekers

Jaswant singh

A person  lives in several circles which are not mutually exclusive. He/She may be a son/daughter, a mother/father, a citizen of nation, a responsible person in a society and may be even a leader of an outfit etc etc. Every circle has its marayada and responsibility.

One cannot be just responsible and respectful towards responsibility and maryada of one circle  forget others. He/she has to be a responsible son/daughter at the same time he has to be a responsible leader/citizen/father etc..

In Jaswants Singhs case, it he seems that he is more focused towards his role as a independent citizen of this nation but is forgetting his responsibilities as leader of a nationalistic political party whose survival depends on goodwill of common citizens who love this nation and cannot forget "painful" part of history for which the Pakistan founder was directly responsible.

He is acting like a chronic attention seeker. In these circumstances, I donot seem him very different from Rakhi Sawant. Only difference being one is material while other is more psychological.

Peria Anna(Elder brother) Chinna Thambi(Small brother) stands tall

Last Sunday, in Bangalore, Mr Karunanidhi found a younger brother or ‘chinna thambi’ in Mr Yeddyurappa at the ceremony to unveil the Thiruvalluvar statue after 18 years of protests by Kannada groups, then on Thursday Mr Yeddyurappa expressed hope that through talks with his ‘peria anna’ or elder brother Karunanidhi all issues between the states would be resolved in a spirit of give and take. YSR was talking during unveiling of the Sarvajana statue in Chenna

Kudos to maturity and long term vision of DMK and BJP leadership who engaged in statue diplomacy to get over years of rancour generated by the long-standing river water dispute between the two neighboring states.

Indian Youth Congress grapples with most important issue of the day – Does Rahul Gandhi have Six Pack?

Country is facing an unprecedented healthcare scare and every organisation worth its salt might be taking actions to reduce panic among citizens and help the government authorities and people in tackling swine flue.

Indian Youth Congress is grappling with a much more important issue. Do Rahul Gandhi have six pack! Yes you heard it right… Let me repeat… Do Rahul Gandhi have Six Pack?

They are so proud that every other magazine is discussing this issue and  some, even on their covers!

Robert Vadra, brother-in-law have most authentic insider view

He has almost zero fat in the belly region, and can build a six-pack whenever he wants to. But it doesn't come in his scheme of things as far as fitness is concerned.

Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Petroleum says

"He doesn't need to have a six-pack! He is the fittest politician in the country and a role model for all those who want to lead a fit life."

Shocking revelations show how deep church has penetrated India

In continuation of Sister Abhaya Murder Case

Its shocking how church has penetrated each and every pillar of India democracy and scuttling an investigation which would show them in bad light.

Background

Sister Abhaya was found lifeless in the well of the Pius X Convent and the hostel. When the body was found, church authorities told the media that she had committed suicide.

Local Police COMPROMISED

Local police ‘investigated'  for 17 day and said it was suicide

Due to efforts of local community leaders, case was handed over to Crime Branch

Crime Branch COMPROMISED

In the course of the nine months probe under the crime branch, to the shock of all including the court, vital evidences and records related to the case simply disappeared or were purposefully destroyed. The Superintendent of Crime Branch, K.T. Michael, who initially investigated and reported the death as "suicide", obtained written permission from the RDO (Rural Development Officer) to take possession of Abhaya's personal articles - her veil, chappels, personal diary and such other personal goods that are of high evidentiary value from the RDO court. The whereabouts of all those items which has been considered as critical evidences, were  found missing .

CBI COMPROMISED

It was at this juncture, the CBI was forced to step in. CBI started investigating under the direct supervision of its officer Varghese P. Thomas  a upright officer awarded with the prestigious President's National Medal. However, he was pressurized by his S.P. Thiagarajan to stop investigations. Due to these pressures the Upright Officer decided to quit his job in 1994, when he had still 10 years service. Then Team after Team of CBI investigated the case with no result. Some even pleaded with the concerned court to allow to close the case. The present CBI team team probing the case is the fifth one.

Forensic Lab COMPROMISED

New Indian Express (legacy of Arun Shourie) makes startling reveloation that the chemical examination at the Government Forensic Lab pointed to Abhaya being raped before murder. But high-ups had used their clout to Suppress and a false laboratory chemical examination report given to Police and CBI. Ravindran,  the scientific officer (its believed that he was whistle blower) at the Chemical Examiners Laboratory, and his wife Ajitha Kumari, were killed in a Mysterious accident last month.

MORE SHOCKING!

In a shocking revelation, the CBI has told the Kerala High Court that a former Karantaka High Court Chief Justice and currently judge in the Supreme Court (Justice Cyriac Joseph) visited the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Bangalore and viewed video tapes of narco analysis tests conducted on the three accused in the case. The judge was a devout faithful of the powerful Knanaya Catholic Church, to which the murdered nun as well as the two accused priests and nun belonged.

Even PMO?

CBI Deputy Superintendent of Police Thomas P Varghese, who resigned from the agency told the Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate that pressure had come from the office of then Prime Minister P V NarasimhaRao to hush up the matter

RSS begins swine flu awareness drive

As Government of India remains clueless, the swine flue cases are increasing by leaps and bounds and people are finding themselves left high and dry. As usual, RSS is rising to the occasion.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) city unit plans to hold a swine flu awareness drive, which will begin from Monday. A meeting of officials of various organisations, including the National Institute of Virology (NIV), the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), and the Indian Medical Association held a meeting at the RSS office, where the decision was taken.

RSS workers will help the people at the 15 PMC screening centres. They will also provide leaflets to various housing societies and hope to reach out to up to 1,000 societies in this way.

Those who want to participate in the drive or want to know more about the programme can contact Atul Kulkarni (9226824336), Sachin Kulkarni (9763704818) or Balasaheb Phatak (9822610024).

Enjoy….

Google admits mistake but several questions remain

A spokesperson for the search giant said in a statement.

"Earlier, this week, as part of routine update to Google Earth, we published new data for the Arunachal Pradesh region that changed the depiction of certain place names in the product. The change was a result of a mistake in our processing of new map data,"

Google has accepted the mistake but several questions remain

- Was the process a manual or automated process?

- Why just Arunachal Pradesh(or disputed places). Why no other place in India like say Kerala or even other place which share border with China?

- Who were the people who decided on this, one cannot be blamed for doubting the honesty/impartiality and professional integrity of this team. India has every reason to be afraid that this team can do other mischief's also.

In fact not just Arunachal Pradesh, Entire J&K, and some parts of Himachal Pradesh/Uttarakhand are shown in mischievous way

Google gifts Arunachal Pradesh to China

image

The map shows Arunachal’s southern boundary with Assam and northern boundary with China in broken lines, while the state’s eastern and western boundaries with Bhutan and Myanmar are shown in continuous white lines.

image

Google satellite maps showing areas of Arunachal Pradesh in Mandarin rather than Hindi or English, effectively making them appear as part of China. The changes were first noticed on Thursday, just hours before Friday’s crucial Sino-Indian talks over border dispute.

Meanwhile, In the backdrop of Beijing’s fresh claims on Arunachal Pradesh, the special representatives of India and China met on Friday to discuss the boundary issue, but not much forward movement is expected in the two-day talks.

Govt says no to National War Memorial

Insulting the country's martyrs has become a habit of the UPA government. After virtually spitting on the graves of those who sacrificed their lives in Kargil, the government has now shot down a proposal for National War Memorial.

The proposed war memorial to pay tribute to every soldier who has laid down his life for the country was nipped in the bud after the urban development ministry refused to allot land near the India Gate in the national capital.

The urban development ministry shot down a proposal by the ministry of defence for the memorial within the India Gate complex.

Despite deep anguish within the armed forces for the indifference shown towards its martyrs in the recent past, the urban development ministry said it cannot allot land behind the India Gate for the memorial. Statutory clearances will not be forthcoming, it said clearly.

The ministry's view is that setting up a war memorial behind the India Gate hexagon would disrupt the layout of the complex. It will interfere with the sensibility of the area.
The ministry also fears that a war memorial on the complex would make it a high-security area and therefore drive tourists away.

Same congress but ……

YSR lays foundation for Wakf mall

The complex was being built on the 3,800 sq feet of land acquired by the Board for Rs. 20 crore. Government had waived the stamp duty of Rs. 2 crore needed for its registration. The 3555 sq. feet of open land on the left side of Haj House acquired from Deccan Motors would be kept vacant for accommodating Haj pilgrims, Mr. Shabbir said.

He said the Rajashekhara Reddy government had created a history by taking back 50 acres of Dargah Hazrath Baba Sharfuddin land at Pahadi Shareef from APIIC(Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) and handing over the same to the Wakf Board. Its present value was Rs. 350 crore. This clearly proved the minority friendly attitude of the chief minister, Mr. Shabbir said. He said the steps taken by the government for welfare of minorities was being appreciated so much so that there was demand in other States to replicate the “YSR minority model”.

Thank you congress for showing martyrs their place!!!

Why is PM hiding his nose after Pak Joint statement affair

image

Clue: Pinocchio

Political Humor

Question: How can you describe this government in three letters.

Answer: PranabManmohanSonia .

This is my copyrighted material. of course you can send this to as many

The truth Congress donot want you to know

  1. There have been four acts of mass casualty terrorism since 1981. All the four were carried out when the Congress (I) was in power in New Delhi.
  2. There have been three instances of targeted attacks on foreigners since 1991--two in J&K and one in Mumbai. All the three were carried out when the Congress (I) was in power.
  3. There have been seven acts of ISI-sponsored aircraft hijackings since 1971. Six of them were carried out when the Congress (I) and one when the BJP was in power.
  4. There has been one instance of an Air India plane being blown up in mid-air killing over 250 persons. This took place when the Congress (I) was in power.
  5. The LET was banned by the Musharraf government as a terrorist organization through a gazette notification on January 15,2002. The Manmohan Singh government has not been able to get the JUD banned by the Zardari government even eight months after the Mumbai attack.
  6. Indira Gandhi was assassinated when the Congress (I) was in power in New Delhi. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated when an ally of the Congress (I) was in power in New Delhi and another ally in Chennai.
  7. The Indian Mujahideen came into existence when the Congress (I) was in power.
  8. The first commando-style complex terrorist attack in Indian territory by a group of terrorists, all hailing from Pakistan, has taken place when the Congress (I) is in power.

The Prime Minister used former President Ronald Reagan of the US as a prop by quoting his remark: “Trust, but verify”. Yes, he had said it. In 1986 some US soldiers were killed by an explosion in a West Berlin discotheque. The US investigators established that the terrorists had come from Libya. After verification, he ordered the US Air Force to bomb the training centre in Libya.

Indian investigators have clearly verified and established that the terrorists who attacked Mumbai were trained in the POK.

Will the Prime Minister emulate Reagan?

The mysterious Balochistan dossier

The mystery surrounding Balochistan dossier detailing the evidence of an alleged Indian involvement in the Balochistan insurgency just got murkier! I personally think there is more to it than government is admitting.

Lets analyze the sequence of events -

  • For first time ever Balochistan finds a mention in Indo Pak joint statement. Till this date, Balochistan had never been mentioned in any talks. It was also mentioned in such a way as if India has some role to play in the problems in Baloch. The statement read -

“Pakistan has some information on threats in Balochistan and other areas.”

  • Back Home Pakistan started claiming that they have handed over a dossier to India which India vehemently denied. They also claimed that Pakistan has shared these evidences with the United States and Afghanistan

  • If we read point 1 & 2 together, how do India know that Pakistan has some information? Has Pakistan show/shared this info?my gut feeling is yes Pakistan has shared some information otherwise how would India agree to put it in joint statement!

  • The Prime Minister yesterday claimed that , "No dossier on Balochistan has been handed over to me. But was any dossier(or information detailing India's alleged involvement) handed over to GOI?

      • US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke has now said that Pakistani leaders brought up the issue of India's alleged involvement in Balochistan. He said

"I would be misleading, if I said it didn't come up,"

      • Richard Holbrooke statement is in line with what Dawn claimed. However, Richard Holbrooke also said that Pakistan did not give any credible evidence to support their claim. He  said:

"The narrow answer to your question is no."

However, he did not elaborate any further.

India-ASEAN trade pact: Final knockout punch for Kerala Industries

Cabinet has given its consent for the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Asean in spite of the objection from its own MP’s.

      Manmohan Singh said,

"A free trade agreement with Asean is an international political commitment and is also part of the Look East Policy."

When the agreement is implemented, the present 70 percent import duty on pepper will come down by 2 percent every year. Likewise, the import duty on tea and coffee, which is now 80 percent, would come down to 45 percent and that on rubber would come down to 50 percent after 10 years. The FTA will also eliminate import tariffs on around 4,000 items.

This would spell doom for Kerala’s pepper, tea, coffee, spices and rubber as markets will be  flooded with cheaper imports from other countries.

Thankyou PM for killing last of Kerala Industries and also  thankyou to 15 odd congress MP’s which Kerala elected this Lok Sabha elections

Under Congress India continues to live in Unreal world!

Soon after Independence, the first commander-in-chief of the Indian armed forces, General Sir Robert Lockhart, presented a paper outlining a plan for the growth of the Indian Army to Prime Minister Nehru. Nehru’s reply:

‘We don’t need a defence plan. Our policy is non-violence. We foresee no military threats. You can scrap the army. The police are good enough to meet our security needs.’

Nehru didn’t waste much time. On September 16, 1947, he directed that the army’s then strength of 280,000 be brought down to 150,000. Even in fiscal 1950-51, when the Chinese threat had begun to loom large on the horizon, 50,000 army personnel were sent home as per his original plan to disband the armed forces.

He realized his folly (a bit too late) after the debacle of china war. In 1963, he said in Rajya Sabha

"I remember many a time when our senior generals came to us, and wrote to the defence ministry saying that they wanted certain things... If we had had foresight, known exactly what would happen, we would have done something else... what India has learnt from the Chinese invasion is that in the world of today there is no place for weak nations... We have been living in an unreal world of our own creation."

Unfortunately, even then he refused to personally take responsibility of the debacle, he took umbrage behind the collective decision (he used we instead of i)

Kargil War Heros – Lest We Forget

      image

Musharraf Bullshits… and gets away with it….

imageTerming Kargil as a "big success", former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said India  agreed to discuss Kashmir only because of kargil war. Musharraf said in a TV interview.

"Yes, indeed, it was a big success because it had (an) impact even on the attitudes  of the Indian side. How did we start discussing the Kashmir dispute? How was it that the Indians agreed that we will discuss Kashmir and there must be a negotiated settlement? Before this there was no such thing at all,"

I wonder how can Musharraf forget “Lahore Declaration” signed on 21st February 1999 in the presence of Prime Minister of India, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, and Prime Minister of Pakistan. I guess he was too busy planning his next Machiavellian plot.

Pakistan would have been saved from the humiliation of their second military defeat, If only he had read the text of the Declaration which would have read , it would have read

      Recalling their agreement of 23rd September, 1998, that an environment of peace and security is in the supreme national interest of both sides and that the resolution of all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, is essential for this purpose;

Have agreed that their respective Governments:

      • shall intensify their efforts to resolve all issues, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

Batla Case: Assorted Seculars want only “Guilty” verdict

      image

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday gave clean chit to Delhi Police in Batla House encounter case in which two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists and a decorated police officer were killed last year.

"We are clearly of the opinion that having regard to the material placed before us, it cannot be said that there has been any violation of human rights by action of police,"

However, it seems that Muslims leadership led by like of Shabnam Hashmi self professed Human right activist and Muslim MP’s from JD (U) and RLD are not satisfied by the verdict. Even Jamia Teachers’ Solidarity Group has rejected the NHRC’s report on the Batla House ‘encounter’, which gives a clean chit to the Delhi Police. Now they are demanding judicial inquiry into the "encounter" by an SIT appointed by the Delhi High Court.

These assorted activists even want to re-examine the manner of appointment of members of the NHRC and its powers. As according to them current NHRC is toothless and tame body.

Nb.: I will not be surprised if these same activists demand an inquiry by UN Human Rights Commission if even Judicial Inquiry gives clean chit to police!

India lacks killer instinct: D Sivanandan

Kudos to new Mumbai city police commissioner D Sivanandan for speaking the truth.

"For thousands of years, we have been passively witnessing terror attacks. We never went to fight with anybody. That's what our main problem is and we lack the killer instinct. We cannot go and wage a war against Pakistan, China or anybody else. But Israel never keeps quiet. Israelis go on their flights, bombard the fellows (enemies), come back and keep quiet. But when we become aggressive, we face international pressure,''

After a furore in the Rajya Sabha over the alleged “obscene content” of television game show Sach Ka Saamna, the government slapped a show-cause notice on broadcaster Star Plus — for “offending good taste and decency, (showing what is) not suitable for unrestricted public exhibition, and for obscenity in words”.

Why are the MP’s ignoring National newspapers who are indulging in much more obscene content!

Pakistan cashing in Manmohan Singh’s Baloch blunder chips!

The after-effects of the Indo-Pak joint statement continued to play out with Pakistan making the outrageous claim of RAW involvement in a number of terrorist strikes on Pakistani soil, including the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team, and in fomenting trouble in Balochistan.

This is not the first time Pakistan has accused Indian involvement in the terrorist attack in their country. What is new is that the Indian side was willingly include a reference to Balochistan in the joint statement.

Pakistan has now shifted the entire focus from Pakistan sponsored terrorism in India to Alleged Indian sponsored terrorism in Pakistan!!! Now instead of Pakistan, India is being forced to come clean on its role in Pakistan!!

      Thankyou Prime Minister!!!

How is Gandhi Family different from Mayawati?

Crown Prince Rahul Gandhi took potshots at Mayawati for erecting of memorials for Kanshi Ram and statues of Mayawati in different parts of the state. He said

Uttar Pradesh has place for only statues and elephants but not for the issues related to development of the state.

Although the dimwit in me is confused on why we are bashing poor mayawati for errecting few statues when we have……..

Christian Science Monitor demonizes Hindu beliefs

Christian Science Monitor claims themselves to be award-winning (including seven Pulitzer Prizes)international news organization that covers news and feature stories from every corner of the globe with vision of journalism designed to "injure no man but bless all mankind."

It seems its Staff writer Dan Murphy in his article Eclipse? India says demons and terrorists and floods, oh my has not spared any effort to offend Hindu beliefs who account for 1/6th of humanity(or is it that “non believers” are not part mankind).

Please go thru the article, if nothing you will atleast realise that Indians marry to wail of brass bands.  let CSM know your opinion on the article.

Believe it or NOT – When history is HIS-story

History teaches us that Wright brothers invented and build the world's first successful airplane. They accomplished their feat in California on December 17,1903. Their flight lasted for 37 seconds.

No one knows our own pioneer from Mumbai, Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, made an aircraft and had flown it eight years earlier in 1895. His craft called 'Marutsakha'(Friend of the Winds) flew unmanned for a few minutes and came down.

      This eclipse has passed but….

      image

When will India come out of the real eclipse?

      BOYCOTT CONTINENTAL AIRLINES

Former President Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam, who is exempt from security checks was frisked by the ground staff of American airliner Continental Airlines at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) on April 24, 2009 at the insistence of the company's American boss.  Kalam was asked to surrender before the security officials for a complete body check and remove his footwear as well.

If it had happened in a foreign country or if it was a case of mistaken identity the act was pardonable but the staff was fully aware of Kalams identity and in fact  Kalam was reportedly forced to wait on the aerobridge even as the airlines security personnel debated whether to put him under the security scanner or not.

As if to rub salt into the wound, Continental Airlines was unapologetic of their act and Airlines in a statement  said

"The procedure is followed by all carriers flying to the US from most of the countries in the world and there is no exemption to this rule. Security and customer service are key components for us at Continental Airlines. We believe that Dr.Kalam was not offended and we would like to thank him again for flying with us. it was honoured and proud to have had such a distinguished customer and hoped he has been ‘pleased by our services”

How can a foreign entity operate in India if they refuse to accept rules and regulations of host country. Act of continental airlines is gross violation of a BCAS circular which exempts specified VVIPs/VIPs from security checks. Foreign Entities who donot respect rules and regulations of this country has no space here and should be thrown out from here.

I personally have decided to stop flying continental airlines until they apologize for their act.

Another day… Another compromise of national interest - End-Use Monitoring Agreement

India has agreed to end user monitoring agreement (EUMA) with the USA . EUMA is under the belief that US Government has a constant obligation (from the time of transfer until eventual disposal) to make certain that its exported defence articles/services are used strictly as per the initially stated intent. Changes, if any, are to be intimated to the US which retains the right to veto the contemplated changes. Additionally and more importantly, the US retains right of ground inspection for physical verification of equipment.

UPS government Spin masters are terming EUMA as big agreement. According to them -

"The choice (of time and place of verification) is ours. It is we who are buying, receiving these things (equipment). It is up to us

This is assuming all these technologies will be used in a small portable application which is highly improbable!!!! How about when its used in a application which is immobile!

The CAG had in a 2008 parliamentary report had called these clauses restrictive.  They noted -

“Restrictive clauses raise doubts about the real advantages from this deal... For example, (there are) restrictions on the offensive deployment of the ship and permission to the (US) government to conduct an inspection and inventory of all articles transferred under the end-use monitoring clause of the LOA (Letter of Offer and Acceptance issued by the US government).”

In 2008, then Navy chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta also spoke disapprovingly about EUMA

“I don’t believe in that. We pay for something and we get some technology. What I do with it is my thing,”

EUMA is not in India's long term interest as

      1. Future upgrades will hinge upon US whim and fancies
      2. India has no guarantee that the US inspectors will not share the data of Indian usage of the equipment with Pakistan or any other country.
      3. Physical inspections will reveal indias strategic locations and intended use of these technologies
      4. US can seek an inspection of equipment that could have some US part/parts in it. This means a large number of deals with Israel - that is now one of the leading suppliers to India - will be covered under this.
      5. Last, each sophisticated equipment has a “source code” that prevents any tampering. It is possible that this “source code” will be used to track movement of Indian forces while they use US-produced planes or ships, said a serving officer, while expressing his reservations on the same. Such inspections have not even been allowed to Russia, India oldest defence ally. The US in past has refused to share the “source code” of F-16 fighters with Israel, its closet defence ally.

Good news is it seems PM is not submissive to Women

This should be read in continuation to this article – Do we have a PM with submissive personality

After extensive search i have come up with some pictures which PM’s handshake is not submissive.

Please note the difference in handshake from his handshakes in previous post.

Believe it or NOT (there is a method in madness)

The health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has hit upon, it seems, a rather unusual method of population control—the idiot box. According to Ghulam Nabi Azad, if people watch more TV they will spend lesser time engaging in what he quaintly refers to as “the process of population growth”.

NB: Now I understand why DMK and congress gave free TV in Tamilnadu

      TV as contraceptive

      Believe it or NOT

Kerala Chief Minister Achuthanandan incurred the wrath of the party high command during the Chinese aggression in 1962 as he organised a blood donation campaign for Indian soldiers, defying the party policy that led to his being shunted out of the Central Committee to the branch committee.

In 1962, VS was detained in a prison here along with several other party workers due to Indian Communist Party’s Pro-Chinese position" in the war.

In the jail, Without consulting the party elders, VS called upon the political prisoners to donate blood for the soldiers. A fellow prisoner leaked out the information to a popular pro-Left English weekly, which made big story out of it. The party later discussed the matter and Achuthanandan was demoted to the lowest tier in the organisation.

It is shocking that this party was part of ruling formation!

In another SHOCKING move UPA Govt. reverses its stand on FMCT

India has agreed to move ahead in the Conference on Disarmament towards a non-discriminatory, internationally and effectively verifiable Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty(FMCT). This was decided in the meeting between Krishna and Clinton.

      FMCT agreement means -

      1. An obligation not to produce fissile material for any nuclear devices.
      2. An undertaking to accept verification and monitoring regime.

FMCT was primarily designed to place a check on the weapons programs of the so-called “threshold” states(at that time); Israel, India, and Pakistan.

FMCT is dangerous for India as it would restrict Indian efforts in attaining parity and deterrence against China as it would effectively put an end to production of more fissile material! In fact Pakistan is using FMCT to target India’s existing stockpiles. In a position that is entirely India-centric , Pakistan at the recent disarmament conference argued that recent nuclear deal has led to an imbalance in the region and that the FMCT should look at existing stockpiles.

I guess this is culmination of Obama plans to mount a diplomatic offensive to push India and other countries to sign the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) & FMCT.

      Another shame!!!!!!

UPA Budget: Yes for Muslim University, No for new KV!

Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal said that his ministry did not have enough funds to open any new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in the current financial year. This coming from a government who has just enhanced 74% increase in Plan Outlay for Ministry of Minority Affairs (Rs. 1,000 crore in BE 2008-09 to Rs.1,740 crore in 2009-10) and also announced  a sum of Rs 50 crore fort wo Aligarh Muslim University campuses to establish at Murshidabad in West Bengal and Malappuram in Kerala.

It seems that UPA govt has taken the policy of starving one child(read majority community) to feed other child(read minorities)

Joke of the year - Kasab's confession result of diplomatic offensive: Cong

With Ajmal Kasab pleading guilty to his role in the Mumbai terror attacks, Congress is  working overtime to take the credit for the same.

According to congress, the confessions of Ajmal Kasab was a result of the diplomatic offensive as India had taken up the issue at the international fora.

I think congress is starting to feel the heat of PM Mamohan Singh’s Himalayan blunder on Pakistan. But isnt it a bit of overkill to claim that international fora impressed upon Kasab to confess…

      Hindi a disease?

"Kalraj Mishraji yeh Mulayam Singhji ki bimari aap ko bhi pahuch gayi hai (this 'disease' of Mulyam Singh Yadav has reached you)"

This was the reply given by Environment and Forest Minister Jairam Ramesh when BJP member Kalraj Mishra objected to him speaking in English in spite of being fluent in Hindi!

Did PM put India at stake to become centre of international attention

Nation stands shocked over the Indo-Pakistan joint statement issued in Egypt. The joint statement is complete reversal of Indias position on several long standing diplomatic issues.

      The Balochistan Blunder

Following line was included in the text of Joint Statement issued after the meeting between the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Prime Minister Gilani mentioned that Pakistan has some information on threats in Balochistan and other areas.

Its the first time that the issue of Balochistan and other areas (what are these other areas… Lahore/Peshawar?) has found a mention in any joint statement issued by the two countries. Pakistan has for long alleged that India was fomenting trouble in its restive Balochistan & other parts. Yet unlike accusations made in the past, now the allegations regarding India’s role in Balochistan are legitimized by the mention of Balochistan in joint statement. Through this act of utter foolhardiness the Indian prime minister has transformed the Balochistan from being a festering wound of Islamabad’s own creation to one caused by alleged Indian meddling. And what more he also managed to put the issue in international focus.  This is an indirect acknowledgement by New Delhi that India has a hand in what is going on in Balochistan. One can only imagine the harm this has done on Indias long standing international position

      Delinking Terror from Talks

In a complete victory for Pakistan’s diplomatic establishment and complete reversal of assurances given by the government to Parliament , PM has agreed to delinked Terror from talks with Pakistan.

The joint statement says that “dialogue is the only way forward”, adding that “action on terrorism should not be linked to the Composite Dialogue process and these should not be bracketed”. it essentially means that India will not make talks conditional to Pakistan’s action against the terrorists.

This is complete reversal of India's stated position that there was no question of holding dialogue with Pakistan unless it gives enough proof of taking action against its nationals who masterminded Mumbai attacks, and initiate steps to dismantle the terror infrastructure on its soil. Pakistan has not only not taken any action but LeT founder Hafiz Mohammad Sayeed primary accused in Mumbai carnage is roaming free.

In further diluting the terror issue, the statement says

“Both leaders agreed that the real challenge is development and the elimination of poverty”

Has PM forgot that no development can take place in the shadow of fear and terror

Further shocking is the PM has even agreed to a escape route for pakistan. The agreemnent reads

Pakistan will do everything in its power in this regard

Has PM forgotten the Pakistan position post Mumbai attack that the attacks were carried out non state actors thus not within its power even though it was planned and resourced from its territory!

      Parity Issue

Indian negotiators have also messed up by equating India and Pakistan as victims of terrorism. Terrorism against Pakistan comes from its domestic sources. The terrorism that is directed against India comes from the Pakistani state as well as its non- state actors. Where is the parity between the two countries as victims of terrorism?

      Intelligence sharing

      PM has agreed that

two countries will share real time, credible and actionable information on any future terrorist threats.

I guess age is catching up with our PM otherwise how can he forget the joint anti- terror mechanism announced by himself and Pervez Musharraf on September 16, 2006 in Havana after the Bombay blasts that took place in July that year. Later, India claims that the joint anti- terror mechanism was totally unproductive because of Pakistan’s refusal to share any credible information.

Nor has there been any sharing of real time, credible and actionable intelligence by Pakistan after the biggest terror strike against India on 26/ 11.

A month ago, Manmohan Singh told President Asif Ali Zardari that his mandate was limited to telling him that Pakistan must not allow its territory to be used for terrorism against India.

Between June and July this year, did the Indian Prime Minister’s mandate change so drastically that he completely reversed several of Indias long held diplomatic positions!!!
