Sister Abhaya Murder Case

This Month is the sixteenth Anniversary of the mysterious death of Sister Abhaya. She was found lifeless in the well of the Pius X Convent and the hostel. When the body was found, church authorities told the media that she had committed suicide. They revealed that she was preparing for her higher secondary examination and was undergoing treatment for mental illness.

The case was `investigated' by the local police for 17 days. But due to efforts of Local Action Committee and intervention of human rights activist Joemon Puthenpurakkal government  handed over the investigation to the Crime Branch. In the course of the nine months probe under the crime branch, to the shock of all including the court, vital evidences and records related to the case simply disappeared or were purposefully destroyed. It was at this juncture, the CBI was forced to step in.

While the CBI investigation was in progress, the Superintendent of Crime Branch, K.T. Michael, who initially investigated and reported the death as "suicide", obtained written permission from the RDO (Rural Development Officer) to take possession of Abhaya's personal articles - her veil, chappels, personal diary and such other personal goods that are of high evidentiary value from the RDO court. The whereabouts of all those items which has been considered as critical evidences, are found missing now.

CBI started investigating under the direct supervision of its officer Varghese P. Thomas  a upright officer awarded with the prestigious President's National Medal. He brain-mapped fifteen suspects and when he was about to brain-map Fr. Kotoor, Its then he got orders from his S.P. Thiagarajan to stop investigations. Due to these pressures the Upright Officer decided to quit his job in 1994, when he had still 10 years service. Then Team after Team of CBI investigated the case with no result. Some even pleaded with the concerned court to allow to close the case. The present CBI team team probing the case is the fifth one.

Thirteen years into the case, he New Indian Express (legacy of Arun Shourie) brought startling revelations that Sr. Abhaya was not only killed but raped and killed! The chemical examination at the Government Forensic Lab pointed to Abhaya being raped before murder. But The high-ups had used their clout to Suppress and a false laboratory chemical examination report given to Police and CBI. In view of new Information, High Court ordered CBI to speed up investigations. In a twist to the case, the forensic professor of Kottayam Medical College informed CBI that the post-mortem report of Sr. Abhaya is missing from the bound book of 100 post-mortem reports—99 reports available and one torn off!

Strangely, Ravindran,  the scientific officer at the Chemical Examiners Laboratory, and his wife Ajitha Kumari, were killed in a Mysterious accident last month. It is widely believed that Ravindran was behind the recent revelation to the New Indian Express about the tampering of the chemical examination report of the vaginal swab and smear of Sister Abhaya.

Scuttling the Murder Investigation of Sister Abhaya is a perfect combination of money, social, political police and administrative power. Sister Abhaya has become synonymous with injustice. Will the murderers be brought to justice?

The Christian organisations who cave been proactive in Getting Saints should be take more interest in this case and make sure Justice is done

Please let Doctor do his Job, GOD will Manifest thru him!

Police are investigating an 11-year-old girl's death from an undiagnosed, treatable form of diabetes after her parents chose to pray for her rather than take her to a doctor.

The girl's mother, Leilani Neumann, said that she and her family believe in the Bible and that healing comes from God.

"We just noticed tiredness within the past two weeks."And then just the day before and that day (she died), it suddenly just went to a more serious situation. We stayed fast in prayer then. We believed that she would recover. We saw signs that to us, it looked like she was recovering."

It is the responsibility of Leaders of Every Religion to Educate their followers Against such act! A Young Girl lies dead due to Ignorance of her parents.

Our Time has come....

It was almost a century ago, J N Tata was taking a foreigner to a dinner in Mumbai's Majestic Hotel, but was stopped at the entrance by the doorman. The reason? Only Europeans were allowed in, Indians and Dogs were not allowed.

Half a Century later,  The late Sir Winston Churchill predicted that India would break up in just ten years and Said

India is a geographical term. It is no more a united nation than the Equator.

But we survived....

A century later, Time has turned a full circle. A commentator was not  very far off when he said

"The sun has not only set on the British Empire but the lights have gone out as well."

Today as a sign of changing times, the Tea Crazed Brits wake up drinking Tata Tetley tea which Tata Tea bought  for $540-million in year 2000. They would be driving to office in a Tata Owned Jaguar probably made using Steel from Tata Owned Corus. This week Tata Motors' purchased  British luxury motoring icons Jaguar and Land Rover for a sum of 2.3 Bn USD and the Corus Steel which used to be Crown of British Empire was brought by Tata Steel for USD 11.3-bn in year 2007. At Home most probably, His queries on his Banking Account or Complaint about his PC might be answered by a Person India. At Office, Most of the back office work might be done by some firm in India.

Mittal,  CEO of Bharti Enterprises summed up the new feeling

"India has arrived and is being accepted by all. Globalisation is a two-way street. Now, it is time for American politicians to realise that globalisation benefits everybody, as the UK has understood"

As if to rub Salt on the Wound, Ratan Tata Magnanimously declared

These brands belong to Britain and they will continue to belong to Britain. Who owns them is not as material as the brands belonging to Britain and the West Midlands

It is Ironic, That a former colony starts buying the iconic industries of the former colonizer, Can we safely call it reverse colonization.

Aamir Khan should Walk the Talk....

AAmir khan who prides himself to be the torch bearer for Human Rights would be bearing another torch. He is going to don the role of a torch bearer for the Olympic Torch relay in Delhi next month. Among the prominent personalities likely to join the run are actress Soha Ali Khan, sport star Leander Paes and former policewoman Kiran Bedi.

Hopefully AAmir Khan would use the same "moral yard Stick" on the issue of Olympic Torch/Tibet and Boycott this event to express solidarity with the Tibetan struggle for freedom from China.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

Today China threatened that it will not allow Olympic torch to passes through New Delhi next month if  "if security is not foolproof ". I guess they were referring to the Tibetian protests in India supporting the Uprising in Tibet. The Olympic flame represents the basic spiritual significance of the Olympic Movement and it would be outrageous even to suggest that china would use this symbol to Armtwist India into submission!

China needs to realise and accept the fact that India is NOT china. We are worlds largest Democracy and our citizens enjoy their fundamentals rights provided by Constitution of India. it is the "Basic Right" of people here to protest and it would be outrageous for china to even suggest how we should be treating our citizens.

After the betrayal of 1962, China has using every opportunity to block india's rise on World Stage whether its proposed East Asia Summit(EAS)  or Permanent Place in UN Security council! In case of EAS, China strongly disapproved of India's inclusion into the proposed. In fact so much so that, In early 2005, Beijing dispatched diplomats to Laos (then “country convener for India” within the ASEAN regional grouping) and other Southeast Asian countries to dissuade them from lobbying for India's Membership(albeit unsuccessfully).  Having failed to keep India, Australia and New Zealand out of the EAS, the Chinese Foreign Ministry then came up with another proposal to keep them down. On the eve of the summit, Beijing proposed that the existing ASEAN Plus Three (APT), and not the new 16-member EAS, should be in the driver’s seat for the formation of a future community-building exercise. After arriving in Kuala Lumpur for the summit, Premier Wen Jiabao insisted that

“[t]he East Asian Summit should respect the desires of East Asian countries and should be led only by East Asian countries.”

In case of India's effort to get permanent place in UN Security Council, China gave leadership to the group opposing it! They conveniently forgot a historic debt China owes India. China managed a seat in the Security Council only because India, when invited to join the Security Council in 1955, declined in favor of its bigger neighbor.

India's then prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru wrote in a letter to the country's top political leaders – explaining why he supported Beijing

"The first step to be taken is for China to take her rightful place, and then the question of India might be discussed separately,"

Chinas efforts to undermine India does not stop with here. In last several years, they have been arming Pakistan thru Missile and Nuclear technology to Keep India Bogged down in South Asia. not only Pakistan and—since 2005— Bangladesh that is being gifted nuclear teeth courtesy Beijing. In Burma, Apart from their listening post in Coco Islands, Beijing is developing the Sittwe port as a safe harbour both its merchant men as well as its battle ships. There are also reports—as yet unconfirmed—of a PRC electronic listening post in one of the Maldivian Atolls. It is more shocking iof we consider the fact that  during the recent Tibetian unrest China stationed forces on the Nepalese side of the border with Tibet last week, in order to keep tabs on protests by Tibetans in Nepal !

Inspite of these Overwhelming Evidences on China's designs,  our SHAMELESS and SPINELESS UPA Government has taken a position subservient to China!

When the entire democratic world condemned harsh Chinese crackdown on legitimate Tibetan protests in Lhasa, the best Indian Government could come up was an expression of  “distress” over the “unsettled situation and violence” in Tibet and wanted the causes of trouble in the “autonomous region” of China to be resolved through dialogue and non-violent means.

Now it appears that the Vice President of India also have to take permission from China to meet a Person Staying in India!!  Earlier there were some rumors that  Vice President Hamid Ansari is set to meet the Dalai Lama, India’s “honoured guest”, when he visits New Delhi! However, GOI rushed in clarified that Vice President Hamid Ansari had no plans to meet the Dalai Lama!

More shameful is the action fo Chinese stooges in India Namely CPM and CPI! They even refused to utter a word against china. In fact, When Parties here should be worried of China Encircling India, The communist were more Worried about US using India to Encircle China! To counter this, Mr Karat Said

“We shall not rest in our fight till strategic ties with the US are snapped.”

The Citizens of this nation has lost all their hope from this Moth Eaten edifice called UPA Government!  The patriotic Citizens of this nation should RISE and PROTEST! Let the thunder of protest shake the foundation of this Spineless UPA Government. Our fury should make the fifth columnist Shiver with fear ! Lets the foes think twice before they threaten our nation next time!

Life on the train

Life is like a train ride, it read. We get on. We ride. We get off. We get back on and ride some more. There are accidents and there are delays. At certain stops there are surprises. Some of these will translate into great moments of joy, some will result in profound sorrow.

When we are born and we first board the train, we  meet people whom we think will be with us for the entire journey. Those people are our parents!

Sadly, this is far from the truth.

Our parents are with us for as long as we absolutely need them. They too have journeys they must complete. We live on with the memories of their love, affection, friendship, guidance and their ever presence.

There are others who board the train and who eventually become very important to us, in turn.

These people are our brothers, sisters, friends and acquaintances, whom we will learn to love, and cherish.

Some people consider their journey like a jaunty tour. They will just go merrily along .

Others, will encounter many upsets, tears, losses on their journey.

Others still, will linger on to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.

Some people on the train will leave an everlasting impression when they get off….

Some will get on and get off the train so quickly, they will scarcely leave a sign that they ever traveled along with you or ever crossed your path…

We will sometimes be upset that some passengers whom we love, will choose to sit in another compartment and leave us to travel on our own.

Then again, there’s nothing that says we can’t seek them out anyway.

Nevertheless, once sought out and found, we may not even be able to sit next to them because that seat will already be taken.

That’s okay …everyone’s journey will be filled with hopes, dreams, challenges, setbacks and goodbyes.

We must strive to make the best of it… no matter what...

We must constantly strive to understand our travel companions and look for the best in everyone.

Remember that at any moment during our journey, any one of our travel companions can have a weak moment and be in need of our help.

We too may vacilate or hesitate, even trip… hopefully we can count on someone being there to be supportive and understanding…

The bigger mystery of our journey is that we don’t know when our last stop will come.

Neither do we know when our travel companions will make their last stop.

Not even those sitting in the seat next to us.

Personally, I know I’ll be sad to make my final stop…. I’m sure of it!

My separation from all those friends and acquaintances I made during the train ride will be painful. Leaving all those I’m close to will be a sad thing. But then again, I’m certain that one day I’ll get to the main station only to meet up with everyone else. They’ll all be carrying their baggage… most of which they didn’t have when they first got on this train.

I’ll be glad to see them again. I’ll also be glad to have contributed to their baggage… and to have enriched their lives, just as much as they will have contributed to my baggage and enriched my life.

We’re all on this train ride together. Above all, we should all try to strive to make the ride as pleasant and memorable as we can, right up until we each make the final stop and leave the train for the last time.

All aboard!

Safe journey!!
