Whose side are they?

Post 2611 reactions from thought leaders, political class, Haindavta Leadership, Muslim Clerics was heartening. Everyone placed nation above the selfish interests, they spoke and acted in one voice. It seemed like a dream come true even if it was at the expense of 200 lives. L Paper back stab Swords 12 99 - 2 MM

However like every dream, this dream has also coming to an end. First wakeup call came from our minority affairs minister Mr. A R Antulay. He borrowed a leaf from Pakistani TV hosts & ISI propaganda that the Mumbai attacks were the handiwork of "Hindu-Zionists"  and absolved LeT terrorists from the murder of Mr. Karkare. He gave enough hints to indicate that he believed "Other forces"(read Hindu Terrorists) were responsible for the heinous act. Nation was stunned but for a while it seemed that A R Antulays utterances were an aberration. In its new found zeal "Secular"  congress party also seemed to be inclined to take irresponsible behavior of Antulay.

But now other sections of the Muslim community — from Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid to Urdu press, including Munsif, the largest Urdu newspaper, Siasat, Inquilab and Urdu Times has joined the bandwagon. Ex-IFS officer and MP Syed Shahabuddin called Minister for Minority Affairs A R Antulay to congratulate him for “saying the unspeakable.” SP MP Rashid Masood, JD(U) MP Ejaz Ali and BSP MP Ilyas Azmi supported Antulay's demand for a separate probe into Karkare's death.

How can India left be Left behind when it comes to appeasing muslim votebank. CPM leader Mohammed Salim pointed out that neither the government nor the Congress party was able to answer the questions raised by Antulay.

Now with so much support among Muslims for the claims of Antulay, how can we even remotely expect congress to take actions against Antualy. I am sure in coming days they will find some excuse to support Antualy.

The nation has woken up to the stark reality that for some group holds  "community" above national interest. It high time people who love this nation and has this nation as last abode understand and realise this.

Tailpiece:

Question raised by B. Raman:

While the external dimensions have started receiving attention, the internal dimensions are sought to be pushed under the carpet. Anyone, who persists in drawing attention to the internal dimensions is sought to be ridiculed or vilified or projected as an apologist for the jihadis.

Fart Alert

Minority Affairs Minister A R Antulay said,
“This is beyond my comprehension why Karkare didn’t go to Taj, Oberoi or Nariman House where the terrorists were holed up. Why he chose to go to a different place”.

"Superficially speaking they (terrorists) had no reason to kill Karkare. Whether he (Karkare) was a victim of terrorism or terrorism plus something. I do not know,"
The minister suggested that Karkare was killed not by Pakistan based terrorists but by somebody else, hinting at Malegaon probe which the ATS Chief was heading.

It seems age has caught up with Mr. A R Antulay!! Mr. Antulay are you suggestion that the other 180 who were killed had some kind of enmity with those terrorists???? Its outrageous how a Union Minsiter is parroting exactly what Pakistan Propaganda is saying and absolving the same terrorists who his own givernment is working had to bring to Justice!!!

With such minister we donot need many Saeed's

Is this acceptable in a secular state?

He had erected hundreds of huge hoardings all over the twin cities of Hyderabad-Secunderabad welcoming people to his 'Grand Christmas celebrations'.15nlook

He told the congregation that he had experienced many miraculous changes in his own life after he adopted Christianity. He exhorted the people, stressing that God will take care of everything  and everybody if people have faith in Him. he said.

"All you have to do is believe in Him,""No doctor has a treatment for AIDS but there is a supernatural doctor who can do it,"

In normal circumstances would have ignored him as one of those looneys.... But this is none other that Son in Law of Andhra Chief Minsiter YSR Reddy.

Bush gets 'farewell boot' in Iraq

It gives fresh meaning to the phrase shooed away. President George W Bush ducked a pair of shoes hurled at his head -- one shoe after the other -- in the middle of a news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.  Both shoes narrowly missed their target.

The assailant -- later identified as television correspondent Muntadar al-Zeidi - leapt from his chair and hurled his footwear at the president, who was about 20 feet away and yelled in Arabic.

"This is a farewell kiss, you dog,"

Bush later bravely said -

"So what if the guy threw a shoe at me?" "If you want the facts, it was a size 10,"

There is too much focus on the security of VIPs. Our institutions are designed and operate in hierarchical ways,

I am not sure who wrote the script for Rahul Gandhi. Atleast they should have told him that it was congress government who agreed to give Amar Singh Z Category security in lui of SP supporting the congress government

Even in crisis "Party Ideology" is supreme for CPM

Today in parliament, It was heartening to see Ruling and opposition rising above party politics. However, the only exception of CPM.  Even this hour of crisis, they decided to play for their ideology.

CPM sought to link signing of the Indo-US nuclear deal with the Mumbai terror strikes, alleging that the country has  been exposed to "new dangers" with the signing of the pact. CPM leader Sitaram Yechury asked:

"What brought the terrorist outfits to our shores? With the Indo-US nuclear deal you are seen as an ally of the US, a strategic partner. There seems to be a total lack of appreciation of this thought from the government's side,"

Mr. Yechury then how about all the attacks before the signing of deal? I guess it might be in anticipation of the deal

Rajasthan electorate waiting for name of the new CM

                                                               WaitingForDPerfectMan

The struggle for the chief minister’s chair in Rajasthan between the supporters and opponents of senior Congress leader and front runner for the post, Ashok Gehlot, reached its peak on Wednesday.

The hectic activity ahead of the crucial meeting of the newly elected Congress MLAs to choose their leader in Jaipur on Thursday exposed the divisions within the party barely two days after the surprise victory.

Heaven smiles on us

The planets Jupiter and Venus will joined the moon to put on a celestial show. The big astral event resembled a “smiley face in the Southern Hemisphere, where in the Northern Hemisphere, it looked more like a “frown.”

With Congress things never change.

The CBI's attempt to safeguard its image as a professional and regime-neutral agency suffered a body blow as it conceded before the supreme Court that its latest move to give a reprieve to Mulayam Singh Yadav, the SP chief and a key ally of the ruling UPA coalition, was primarily because of a direction from the Centre.

I guess it was payback time for the support congress is getting from SP. When will it be payback time for the voters who elected Congress and SP in first place?

What did one Journalist say to other during 2611

Hey look Barkha (cloud..) its going to rain.....

Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake plays in background....

NDTV - How was your TRP in Pakistan during 2611

NDTV claims to be the only news channel to broadcast to Pakistan and since they have claimed victory on 2611 TRP wars in India. It would be interesting to know what was TRP rating for NDTV is Pakistan? NDTV - Pakistan

Find the odd man out

This should be read in continuation of  Ms Barkha's defence of their 26/11 coverage.  In her article she wrote

In the past week, we have also received countless words of support and encouragement- from thousands of people - Indian citizens of every hue and ilk across the country, as well as some better known ones, like Narayan Murthy, Salman Rushdie, Shashi Tharoor, Sunil Khilnani and Suketu Mehta, to name just a few.

So my fist reaction was wow... if Mr. Murthy says so it might be true.. Then some one gave me this link to Moneycontrol. And surprise surprise... Guess what I found... Mr. Murthy is Non.Exe.Independent Director of NDTV.

Now it would be too much to ask Mr. Murthy to criticise a organisation of which he is Director!

NDTV declares victory after 26/11 TRP wars

NDTV has today proudly claimed victory after 26/11 TRP Wars.

NDTV Website claims

When it matters, NDTV 24X7 is the most viewed channelndtv

For the target C&S 15+ in the one million plus markets, NDTV 24x7 was the most viewed channel in the Mumbai terror attacks week, followed by Times Now. CNN-IBN was the third watched.

Never mind, even if the victory was build on the foundation of grief of countless relatives with microphone thrust in their face or the death of NSG Havaldar Gajender Singh.

If NDTV has even an iota of respect for the grief and anger of this nation they should immediately withdraw this

Media has blood of NSG Commando Gajender Singh on its hand!

NSG is  miffed with the way its operations at Nariman House were broadcast live. Questions are being raised over the way Havaldar Gajender Singh fell to a terrorist’s bullet at Nariman House.

TV broadcast our commandos landing from a helicopter on the roof over Nariman House. By the time our men landed and started taking positions, the terrorists were already waiting for them and opened fire,”

Concerned over the way many aspects of its operations got “jeopardized” due to live images being broadcast by TV during the 60-hour siege, the National Security Guard (NSG) is now pushing for restrictions on media coverage wherever its commandos are engaged in combat.

Response to Ms Barkha's defence of their 26/11 coverage - Updated

This is in response to Ms Barkha's defence of their 26/11 coverage. You can read it here

Dear Ms Barkha,

Appreciate your initiative on coming up with a spirited defense on NDTV's coverage of 26/11 and now even allowing critics from "hate groups" to post their opinion here. Is this the aftereffect of assembly election results?.

At the onset, we thank the efforts of likes of you because of which we were able to watch our motherland being ravaged - Live.  At times, We were also able to see your emotional side, some call it "hallmark" melodrama but I believe it was genuine. However, all this donot absolve NDTV from its abysmal  record on ethical journalism based on "fly on wall" concept.

In past, we have watched with horror and anger the NDTV reports which were completely divergent from the mood of the nation or reality. Your gaffe of “Modi might win but he still won’t get the visa to the US.” after his emphatic second term win was the classic example. Even NDTV's reporting during the election period has left no doubt on which horse NDTV is betting.

Now coming back to your rebuttal of specific charges regarding 26/11 coverage:-

1. On the issue of media respecting the security cordon. Physically yes but I fail to understand how physical cordon can limit camera view/zoom. We are not complaining on physical movement of journalist(we are confident of  journo's sense of self perseverance), we are upset on what was aired by media. The question to be answered is, has over enthusiasm for "exclusive shots" helped our detractors or whether it had put life of our commandos in risk?  Remember how NDTV cameraman kept focusing on the commandos preparing the grenade launcher!  Lastly isn't it over the top to claim credit on NSG getting an Aircraft?

2. I can only laugh at the self righteous assertion on your sensitiveness towards grief of relatives. It seems you have conveniently forgot your small chit chat with Santanu Saikia? Even if we agree on your assertion, can you make a similar claim for your colleagues at ground zero? The arrogance of one of them was disgusting.  Reminds me of the saying .... baap toh baaap. beta sava sher

3. On the issue of your singular focus on two hotels. It was amusing that most of the journos (and some of socialites who made it an occasion for their 2 minutes of fame) kept repeating how Hotel Taj represented Mumbai without realizing the fact than 90% of Mumbaikars cannot even set their foot in Hotel Taj let alone dine and wine there.  Why was there no such shrillness in 7/11?

4. In this version of NDTV response, I didnot see the name dropping.  In the previous version, you said -

So my fist reaction was wow... if Mr. Murthy says so it might be true. But my hopes were dashed when I realised that Mr. Murthy is Non.Exe.Independent Director of NDTV. Now it would be too much to ask Mr. Murthy to criticise a organisation of which he is Director!

Post 26/11 NDTV seems to have started a campaign against the entire political class of India. I can understand your predicament on how you can blame one group (Congress et al ) without benefiting other (BJP et al.). so I guess you chose the second best available option of blaming the entire political class. But have you ever for a moment paused and thought the grave danger the nation would face if the people lose confidence on political system. You got it right when you sensed the anger in the people but it was not directed against entire political class it was directed against the so called secular brigade of this country. People are angry with your reporting because you have not sensed this anger and your actions are seen as a move to protect the actual culprits.

Following is one of the mails which seems to have originated from NDTV, Is this your official position considering this came out of your corporate affairs?

From: Sachin M. Kamble *****
Subject: Section 49-O

Please treat this as a MUST READ. .

Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!
Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called "49-O".
Why should you go and say "I VOTE NOBODY"... because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way, of our whole political system... it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public.....
Please spread this news to as many as you know... Seems to be a wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India... show your power, expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful than voting... so don't miss your chance. So either vote, or vote not to vote (vote 49-O) and pass this info on...
The people of India , can really use this power to save our nation". Use your voting right for a better INDIA.

Still not able to make up your mind go through the slides.

Lastly, one of perils as we grow in stature is we surround ourselves with people who tell us only what we want to hear and usually that's the start of the end. It would be an eye opener for you if you could take some time out of your busy schedule and visit some of communities in orkut and hear the unbiased outpouring for and against NDTV(and please be prepared for the shock). By the way, majority of Indians prefer orkut over facebook.

NDTV is an important media house, its wellbeing and longetivity is important for all of us. We as citizens of this nations hope and pray that you play your role with with utmost care and independence.

Garewal apologises for Pak flags remark

Bollywood's veteran actress Simi Garewal, who kicked up a storm with her comment on a TV show that slums in Mumbai can be seen sporting Pakistani flags, has apologized, saying she was wrong and stood corrected.

Ms Garewal, There is no need for you to apologize. You only told the harsh reality which our secular media is not willing to accept. All you got wrong was location. Even in Mumbai, there were instances when Pakistani flag were hoisted.

Govt to conduct inquiry into hoisting of Pak flags

Maharashtra government will conduct an inquiry by inspector general of police to probe the circumstances leading to communal tension at jamod in buldana district, where "pakistani flags" were put atop trees on july seven. the announcement was made by deputy chief minister chhagan bhujbal, who holds home portfolio

It was only few months back Pakistani flags were hoisted in Assam

Lets hear what the the "other" side in our country says

As nation grapples to formula a credible response to 26/11 a section of society has started its usual ranting.

According to SahilOnline, published from Karnataka (yes its karnataka in India...) and signed by Feroze Mithiborwala, Kishore jagtap, Sayeed Khan, Varsha V V, Amol Madame, Arif Kapadia, Afaq Azad, Chetna Birje, Reshma Jagtap, Irfan Mulla, Jagdish Nagarkar, Mulniwasi Mala, Ghazala azad, Munawar Khan, Saeeda Khan, Noorjehan Momin, Tito Eapen, Winnie Thomas, Inayat, Jyoti Bedekar, Anil Hate, Avinash Kamble, Chand & Harshwardhan Vartak says...

This terror attack in our analysis has been planned & orchestrated by the Sangh Pariwar and its allies within the security apparatus to counter the investigation of the ATS led by Hemant Karkare..

The go on to add..

The Indian Mujahedeen is a creation & the front organization of the Indian security apparatus. The role of the "IM" is to seek to entrap Muslim youth. Organizations like the IM are created with the backing of criminal elements from within the Muslim community as well as informers. The IM is known to be linked to the Fazlulrehman gang as well as the Bhatkal brothers with similar criminal antecedents.P-237

If that is not enough Amaresh Misra  writes in counter current which is one of most quoted sources for Seculars in India says that Mumbai Terror Attack was handiwork of Anglo-American-Mossad-RSS Nexus! Incredibly, he also says

" somehow surprising to learn that the terrorists in Cama hospital in Mumbai were fluently speaking Marathi.

He also claims that

The attackers would not have come from the sea route without some kind of a connivance of Gujarat and Maharashtra Governments with the terrorists, and the connivance of RSS type Hindutva elements as I will prove later in the piece.

Now you would be wondering who this Amaresh mishra is? Is he really a  Indian? Well hold your breath... He is the poster boy of Secular press in India.

He is a regular writer in Outlook

He regularly writes editorial in The Hindu

he even contributes in Indian Express

I am not sure what should be done of ANTINATIONALS like Ambarish Mishra? The least we can do is throw him into the jail.

Sister Abhaya was hacked to death with axe: CBI

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the 1992 murder of Sister Abhaya, told a court on Tuesday that she was hacked to death with an axe by the two priests and a nun arrested in the case, 16 years after her death.
On Nov 19, the 13th team of the CBI set up to probe the case  arrested Father Jose Putarika, 56, a former Malayalam professor at a Kottayam college where Abhaya studied; Father Thomas Kottor, 61, the Diocesan chancellor of the Catholic Church at Kottayam; and Sister Seffi, who was a resident of the convent when the incident took place.

A secular tribute from comrades in Kerala

                                                Scale of injustice

The CPM Led secular government has set new standards in secularism.  They didnot send even a single government representative to the funeral ceremony of NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a Keralite who died while combating terrorists in Mumbai. If the loss of their only son was not enough, the family of slain NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan now has insult to add to it — courtesy Kerala chief minister V S Achuthanandan.

Worse he is not even apologetic for his denigrating remark. “No, no,” is all he said when journalists confronted him with the question.

Earlier, Achuthanandan had heaped scorn on the family of NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan  after smarting under the snub from the father of the angry officer. He said

"If it had not been (Major) Sandeep's house, not even a dog would have glanced that way,” he said when turned away at the door by Unnikrishnan’s father.

Now lets compare this with the treatment they gave to Known terrorist Abdul Nasser Madani. When People’s Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani was acquitted in the Coimbatore serial blast case, three ministers of the Left Government turned up for the reception in Thiruvanananthapuram. There was a partial hartal in parts of Kerala when even former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein died.

Pic.: Madani being welcomed by Communist ministers MA Baby-CPM N.K.Premachandran RSP

Another day another blast

Its another day and another blast ripped through a passenger train in Assam three people were killed and more than 30 wounded in the blast. It would be interesting to see the reaction of government this time having exhausted their supply of scapegoats.

Secular Media is expected to hold the line of "huge anger against politicians.."

Manmohan Ji, Why dont you do us all a favour. WHY DONT YOU JUST GET OUT!

The great resignation drama akin to lipstick on pig

As the body count from Mumbai carnage pile up, As nation realize in shoock that Maharastra Govt. was forewarned even 24 Hrs before the incident, As nation watches in its MzA5MTU2_largehorror the insensitiveness and casual attitude of ministers responding to the tragedy, the UPA has started another round of drama. This is the great resignation drama.

First to roll was Mr. Shivraj Patil - the best HM we could have gifted to our enemy. Shivraj Patil who presided over countless terrorists attacks suddenly found his moral bearings and resigned. There is even a rumor that he resigned because he ran out of dresses to change. Afterall, there is only so many dresses one can afford in a ministers salary. Its only a month back he was in his combative best saying

People say I am very soft on terror—what do they mean? Should I go on shouting about the matter?

Next in line was Mr. R R Patil. Government had no choice but to seek his resignation or isolation as he was contaminated with "foot in mouth disease". The disease causes people to say outrageous things at most inappropriate times. Patil was caught on the camera  saying,

"Itne bade shahar me ekhada hadsa ho jata hai" (An untoward incident like this can happen in such a big city like Mumbai).

The Maharashtra Chief Minister is also expected to resign. He is making a lateral career move to Bollywood. He along with Ram Gopal Verma and his son Rithesh Deshmukh is making a movie called "Taj Mein Aag". Its expected to be a super duper hit. In fact its rumored that RGV even visited the battle ravaged Taj to get a rough idea of set he has erect for his movie.

The resignations have caught the usually stern English media in a frenzy, I saw a frenzied Srinivasan Jain of NDTV asking "First time in history of India both CM and HM of a state has resigned over an incident. Can BJP even dream of it". My question to him would have been "what else could have they done?"

The spate of resignations from ministers hold no significance for the nation. It might have worked if done after second or third blast. Now nation wants action and sadly thats what is missing.

The current actions of UPA is akin to putting lipstick on a pig.

Congress pettiness even in this hour of crisis

Late on Nov 26, some time after the attacks began, Advani called up Singh and assured him of the BJP’s support to the government in tackling the crisis. To be fair, it was Manmohan who mooted the idea that they both travel together to Mumbai the next day, a suggestion that Advani readily agreed to.

Advani had  cancelled the planned birthday celebrations of his wife and had decided to fly out to Mumbai along with Manmohan Singh.

Barely hours before they were to take off from Delhi, Advani was informed from the government that since the rescue operations were still on, it would be wise to put off the trip by a day. The Opposition leader politely declined on grounds that he is scheduled to address several meetings in Rajasthan which is due for polls later this week and therefore was going to Mumbai himself.
But by late afternoon, Manmohan Singh changed his mind and decided to fly the same day in the company of — who else — Sonia Gandhi. Upon which Advani who was already on his way to Mumbai is reported to have informed the government of his readiness to meet the PM at any predetermined spot in Mumbai. According to Advani, who was keen on a public show of unity, he was assured he will be informed about the venue and time for a meet- up.
There was no further word from the government.

The petty politics ensured that Manmohan and Advani weren’t ready yet to put on display the spirit that unites India.

While Mumbai burnt Nehru's (oops...) Nero fiddled

Even before the tears of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s mother could dry up, Congress general secretary and heir apparent Rahul Gandhi went partying with his pals at a farmhouse on Delhi’s outskirts.

The Prince seemed to be completely out of sync with the mood of the nation post-26/11. Since Wednesday night, officials have been cancelling parties they were meant to host and even restaurants called off special events. But the Prince partied hard, till 5 in the morning, on Sunday at the ‘sangeet’ for the forthcoming wedding of Samir Sharma, his childhood friend. They were at a sprawling farmhouse at Radhey Mohan Chowk, the haven of people who lead charmed lives beyond Chhatarpur.

SHocking!!!!

This all seems so unreal!

Where do their loyalties lie?

The CM Achuthanandan is being severely criticized for his delay in offering condolences to the bereaved family of  slain NSG commando Major Sandeep  who hail from Kerala.
Stung by the criticism Achuthanandan, accompanied by home minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, had rushed to the city on Sunday. However, The anger against the fake morality boiled over with slain NSG commando's Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's father literally shooing away Kerala chief minister V S Achuthanandan and shouted at him to leave at once.
There is no surprise in the actions of Achu Mama afterall the loyalties of CPM lies on the other side..

In Delhi, Politics is a good career option

Politics seems to be the best career option which gives maximum return of investment.

According to Delhi Election Watch, an independent citizen body the last five years have yielded rich monetary gains for most of the sitting MLAs contesting this year's Delhi Assembly elections with the legislators declaring an average of more than double the monetary value of assets recorded in 2003.

Key among them being:-

  1. The highest increase in assets has been attained by BSP candidate from Patparganj, Madan Singh, whose wealth has jumped 12 times at 1,237 per cent. However, he is not a sitting MLA.
  2. Congress's Barkha Singh from R K Puram constituency, whose declared assets reveal a 1,002 per cent increase in their assets
  3. Timarpur's Congress MLA Surinder Pal Singh, whose wealth has jumped by close to 10 times at 972 per cent.
  4. Transport Minister Harun Yusuf, who is seeking a fourth term from the Ballimaran constituency has quadrupled his wealth at 482 per cent
  5. BJP's Jagdish Mukhi from Janakpuri has registered a 412 per cent jump

Abhaya case: Retired cop involved in probe found dead

It seems the past actions are catching up with most of the perpetuators of Abhaya Murder.

Adding a new dimension to the Sister Abhaya case, barely a week after the arrest of two priests and a nun, a retired police official who conducted the inquiry 16 years ago, was found dead at his house.

62-year-old Retd Assistant Sub Inspector V V Augustine committed suicide as he was found dead with his veins cut and froth oozing out of his mouth in the compound of his house . But even in his death he was thinking mischief.  A note was also found near the body saying,

"CBI is responsible for my death."

Augustine, who was the ASI of the Kottayam West police station at the time of Abhaya's death, was the first policeman to reach the spot after the nun's body was found in the well of Pius 10th convent in Kottayam town on March 27, 1992.  It was he who conducted the inquest and prepared the FIR in the case and was involved in the initial phase of investigation before the case was handed over to the Crime Branch and later to the CBI.

His statement was taken by the CBI on Monday after the case took a new turn with the arrest of Fr Thomas Kottur and Jose Puthrukkayil and Sister Sephy in connection with the investigations last week.

I am sure Augustine and the Padres should have known..

When Christ returns, all men will "give an account of their own works. And they that have done good will go into life everlasting; and they that have done evil into everlasting fire."

I wonder if they would do a Narco Analysis etc on these Padres???

Your thumb says it all: CPM MP Abdullakutty

Aruvanpalli Puthiyapurakkal Abdullakkutty, the youngest CPM MP from Kerala comes from Kannur, the Marxist citadel in God's Own Country.

In the first issue of Yathra, a travel magazine published by the Mathrubhumi newspaper group, Abdullakutty has penned an article on his spiritual journey to Vaitheeswaran Koil, in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur district, famous for the centuries-old Nadi astrology. In the article, the MP said he had squatted in front of a Nadi astrologer, in his search for his birthday, which his family had failed to give all these years.

In the article ‘Your thumb says it all’, Abdullakutty writes that his date of birth has been an issue haunting him all these years. He had not celebrated birthdays as he did not know the exact date. He said the journey to Vaitheeswaran Koil was a search for destiny, after he had exhausted all other means.

Abdullakuty said he asked the astrologer to read chapters on birth and family and the latter gave ‘almost’ correct answers. He said he was taken aback when the astrologer asked whether he was an MP or an MLA. “After some time, the astrologer came with my horoscope and read out all details about my birth, including the star, date and time of birth etc. And he continued to say things about my past and future. I did not hear it...I was satisfied that I got a birthday. That was enough,” he completes the write-up.
“It is believed that the past, present and future of all humans were foreseen and recorded by ancient sages like Vasishta and Agastya in palm leaves and kept in Vaitheeswaran Koil. There is a scripture pertaining to each individual, comprising all details from birth to death.”

Casanova Fidel Castro

Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro has slept with 35,000 women in his 82 years of life, according to an upcoming documentary. The New York Post quoted an ex-Castro official named "Ramon" as telling filmmaker Ian Halperin. "He slept with at least two women a day for more than four decades - one for lunch and one for supper,"."Sometimes he even ordered one for breakfast," the official said."

I personally think, Fidel was a fair person he was not partial to women. Atleast the phrase communism screws people stands proved "literally"

Following question needs to be asked:-

1. Why union government has to send a Official delegation for a Vatican religious fucntion?

2. This is the same Kerala CPM government which had started a state-wide hunt for godmen(read hindu). The main reason for In the case of Sister Alphonsa, is because cleft foot of Jinil Shaji was healed following the prayers at the tomb of the Sister Alphons. Do the atheist CPM endrose this claim?

Jamia University supporting terror?

The Jamia Millia Islamia University would provide legal aid to two suspended students who have been arrested by Delhi Police for being allegedly involved in the serial blasts in the capital.

Varsity spokesperson Rakshanda Jaleel "Legal aid would be provided till they are not found guilty,"

The executive committee of Jamia teacher’s association (JTA) also announced their commitment to provide financial support to the two students of the university, who were arrested for their alleged involvement in terror activities. The JTA praised the university’s move to provide legal assistance to the two students. They further demanded from the university that no disciplinary action should be initiated against the students unless they are proven guilty by the court of law.

For accused who cannot afford, Legal aid is provided in our country. The university need not interfere. With this act, the university which runs on government funds have basically shown lack of faith in the government. HR Minister by suppiorting this move is working against his own government and also advocating mistrust of his own government.

US national debt clock runs out of digits

In a sign of the times, the National Debt Clock in New York City has run out of digits to record the growing figure. As a short-term fix, the digital dollar sign on the billboard-style clock near Times Square has been switched to a figure -- the "1" in $10 trillion. It's marking the federal government's current debt at about $10.2 trillion.

The Durst Organization says it plans to update the sign next year by adding two digits. That will make it capable of tracking debt up to a quadrillion dollars.

The late Manhattan real estate developer Seymour Durst put the sign up in 1989 to call attention to what was then a $2.7 trillion debt

Mulayam, an ISI Agent?

The book Fulcrum of Evil ISI-CIA-Al Qaeda Nexus written by Maloy Krishna Dhar, a retired joint-director of the Intelligence Bureau has in detail narrated instances of the penetration of the KGB and CIA in the country.

Dhar writes, in the book's sixth chapter called Mission Based Operations:
“In Central-Northern India, Pakistan had achieved spectacular success in penetrating over a dozen legislators and a provincial chief minister, who had come under the scanner for maintaining questionable clandestine links"
. After BJP leaders Keshrinath Tripathi and Lalji Tandon raised this in parliament, Mulayam himself admitted that said
“He (Dhar) has not mentioned my name but I know he is referring to me.
There are several incidents which can substantiate this claim. In 1994-95 when the Intelligence Bureau (IB) informed the state government about two terrorists hiding in Nadwa College. The police records confirm that with the help of state police, IB officials raided Nadwa College hostel, where instead of police nabbing the suspects, students locked two policemen in a room. Mulayam Singh intervened and got the raid aborted helping the terrorist escape. Mulayam then transferred many officers who were involved in this.

Everyone is aware of the public support of SIMI from Mulayam. Mulayam government withdrew the case against a dozen activists of SIMI. According to police records, a case was filed at a district court in Bahraich in which the then SIMI national president Shahid Badr Falahi, along with his 12 followers, was charged of delivering an incendiary speech. Similar cases were filed at Gorakhpur and Azamgarh also. Finally, the police caught these SIMI activists in 2002. In 2006 June the government issued an order to withdraw the case against these SIMI activists.
