The CBI's attempt to safeguard its image as a professional and regime-neutral agency suffered a body blow as it conceded before the supreme Court that its latest move to give a reprieve to Mulayam Singh Yadav, the SP chief and a key ally of the ruling UPA coalition, was primarily because of a direction from the Centre.
I guess it was payback time for the support congress is getting from SP. When will it be payback time for the voters who elected Congress and SP in first place?
