As Government of India remains clueless, the swine flue cases are increasing by leaps and bounds and people are finding themselves left high and dry. As usual, RSS is rising to the occasion.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) city unit plans to hold a swine flu awareness drive, which will begin from Monday. A meeting of officials of various organisations, including the National Institute of Virology (NIV), the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), and the Indian Medical Association held a meeting at the RSS office, where the decision was taken.
RSS workers will help the people at the 15 PMC screening centres. They will also provide leaflets to various housing societies and hope to reach out to up to 1,000 societies in this way.
Those who want to participate in the drive or want to know more about the programme can contact Atul Kulkarni (9226824336), Sachin Kulkarni (9763704818) or Balasaheb Phatak (9822610024).
