Chandrayaan-1Indias maiden lunar mission and represented the aspiration of a billion Indians, Once near moon it send Moon Impact Probe (MIP) and for first time in history India was able to reach the lunar surface. One would have expected the spot (Shackleton Crater) where the probe landed to be named after India. But nope….. Its named after Nehru Family!! The spot is now renamed as the Jawahar Point as apparently it was birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru.
