And them some say its all because

These critics belonging to the caste-based regional parties. they are actually not against the reservations per se, but only against the possibility of upper castes benefiting from the move. In a colourful phrase, while opposing the bill during an earlier session of parliament, JD-U leader Sharad Yadav had sarcastically observed that only 'parkati' (wingless) women or those with bobbed hair will become MPs and MLAs if the legislation comes into force.

Do you want Women's Reservation everywhere? That is,

1) Women's Reservation for 50% of Judges positions in High Courts and Supreme Court.

2) Women's Reservation for 50% of positions in IAS, IPS, IFS?

3) Women's Reservation for 30% of Govt and Private Sector Company Jobs and Promotions every year without considering performance.

4) Women's Reservation for 50% of Senior Management positions in private sector?

5) Women's Reservation for 50% of seats in IITs, IIMs, Engineering and Medical Colleges?

6) Lay Offs only for men in Private sector and No Lay offs for women.

7) Law for sacking of Men from their jobs, if a woman accuses him of harassment at workplace and considering the accused man guilty till proven innocent.

8) Women's Reservation for 50% of positions in Panchayats.

If you do not want special privileges for Women in all the above, the time to act is now. If women get reservation in parliament, then they will change laws to implement all of the above and you will just watch helplessly.

Jago India. Jago!!

Act Now. Send this message to as many people as possible.

Say No to Special Privileges to Women. Say No to Women's Reservation.

I wish not concur on it. I regard as warm-hearted post. Expressly the designation attracted me to review the whole story.

I am against women reservation bill

1) Reservation can never be a panacea for empowerment.
2)Empowerment can be achieved only through open contests. If a woman wants to achieve something in her life, she should compete with a man.She may fail initially.Never mind. But it will make her intellectually challenging and powerful. Here again, by contesting, I meant competing ( DON'T read/comprehend it as fighting)
3) People are equating empowerment with concessions..That's the most saddest part.Women reservation is nothing but a sort of concession showered on women.By accepting that, we are noding that women are weaker.
4)If at all the society is hell-bent on women reservation; it should be introduced in three or four phases..
5)I lived in Aluva for almost 6 years. The Municipal Chairperson was an advocate by profession. And yet, the Municipal affairs was run by chairperson's uncle.
6) India has a history of portraying women as weak..with all sorts of melodrama.I think we should come out of that.I don't think urban women are weak..I would say urban men AND rural women are the weaker.Adequate support should be ensured for the upliftment of rural women.I don't think this 33 percent reservation is gonna benefit the real down trodden women.
7) If the political parties are too much concerned about women, then they should implement the same within the party.
8) At the moment, 37 out of 58 women MPs are related to male politicians.
9) We could see more and more female MPs related to male politicians.

Oops! I missed to add a couple of points..

10)Women in India are averse to politics.I mean 80% of the women in our country are averse to politic and policy making..

11)Newspaper reading should become a part of a woman's daily life. Thereafter we can scream about reservation.

12) I am not belittling women..I am just expressing the bitter truth :-)
